Thomas Edwin “Tom” Skinner, 72, of Wilson died Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, Wilson, NC, with Rev. Bill Groce and Rev. Lewis Forsythe officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.
The family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, just prior to the service, at the funeral home located at 2704 Nash St. N, Wilson, NC.
Tom retired from Tobacco Processors with over 25 years of service. He was a longtime member of Daniels Chapel FWB Church. Tom loved to hunt, fish, camp and spend time with his family, especially his grandkids and special friends at Twin Lakes. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Tomlinson Skinner; one daughter, Mitzi Skinner Barnes (William) of Wilson; two grandchildren, Ryne Barnes and Sydney Barnes; one sister, Ruth Breedlove of Wilson; two sisters-in-law, Lois Skinner of Wilson and Karen Skinner of Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his son Chad Skinner; parents, Russell and Julia Grimsley Skinner; two sisters, Sally Pridgen and Sylvia Pittman; three brothers, Bud Skinner, Gerald Skinner and William Skinner.
