He was preceded in death by his father Bobby Ray Stancil and his brother Timothy Jones.
Terry is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lynette Stancil of the home, his mother Lina Moye of the home, his son Timothy Stancil of the home, two daughters; Renee Parrish (Joshua Swanson) of Lucama and Shenna Tucker of Wilson, one sister Cathy Chandler, and three grandchildren; Gabbriel "Gabby" Barnes, Jacob Shanks, and Collin Barnes.
Terry had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his own back to anyone in need. He enjoyed gardening, watching Nascar races, Dale Earnhardt, martial arts, and listening to classic rock music.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 2:00pm at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St., N, Wilson, NC 27896 and will be officiated by Pastor Gene Wells.
