PEGGY LOU EDWARDS EASON On October 2, 2015, God called home a beautiful Angel, Peggy Lou Edwards Eason. Momma passed peacefully in her Texas home surrounded by her daughters, friends and angels. She was born September 10, 1936 in Wilson, NC to Jack and Mary Edwards, preceded in death by husband James Donald Eason, son David Wayne Eason, her parents, and beloved dog Tippy. Survived by daughter, Donna Lou Eason of Corpus Christi, TX, “adopted daughter” JoAnne Barnard of Corpus Christi, TX; sister, Diane Webb and her husband Garland of Wilson; brother, Donnie Edwards and his wife Linda of Saratoga, NC; brother-in-law, Bobby Eason and his wife Greta of Goldsboro, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy was truly one of God’s earth angels. Those who knew her would agree. If you ever received one of her handmade angels, quilts, or paintings you knew she “Thought something of you”. She will be missed by many especially her family and friends in CC, TX. Donna and JoAnne would like to thank Allison Arnold, Lisa Morgan, Sherri Cain, Melinda Garza, Leti Canales and family, the Lindsey Family, and the staff at Carroll High School. A special thank you to American Medical and New Century Hospice for providing us with the services that allowed us to keep Momma home. All of you who helped in caring for her were amazing. Her family will receive relatives and friends in the Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St., Wilson, Saturday from 11 a.m. to the time of the service in the chapel at 1p.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the charity of one’s choice. www.thomasyelverton.com.
