Judy Carol Parker

June 8, 1947 – July 2, 2018

Judy Carol Parker, 71, of Wilson passed away Monday. A memorial service will be conducted 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 6, 2018, at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St, N, Wilson, with Rev. Rusty Russell officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Judy retired from a 20 year banking career with First South Bank and a 30 year bookkeeping career with Sampson Manufacturing. She loved to travel, both on the back of a Harley and by motorhome. Judy was a longtime member of Peace Church. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her brother, Bill Godwin of Elm City; her life partner of over 20 years, Joseph S. Ramback; a “special grandson”, Jordan Rogister; several nieces, nephews and cousins; her special canine friend, Lola.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morrison Parker; a daughter, Lisa Parker; her parents, William and Beatrice Griffin Godwin; step-mother, Thelma Doris Godwin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615, to help in the battle to fight Endometrial Carcinoma.
