Joseph Bennett Williams, age 72, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at ECU Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Elijah Amos Williams and Annie May Kenneday Williams and was also predeceased by his wife Joyce Lucas Williams, his brothers, Johnny Williams, Elijah Amos Williams, Jr. and Harvey Lee Williams.
He loved fishing and singing. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory is his son Joseph Williams, his daughter Renead Joyner and her husband Neal of Rocky Mount, his brothers, Bobby Williams and his wife Jenny of Goldsboro, William Williams and his wife Pam of Rocky Mount and Thomas Williams of Elm City, his sisters, Peggy Leonard and her husband Jerry of Nashville and Edna Page and her husband Sherwood of Grifton, his sisters-in-law Brenda Williams and Judy Williams both of Sharpsburg, his grandchildren, Ashley Raya, Danica Joyner and Joyce Joyner and his special friend Debbie Gelzinis.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
