Jewel Yvonne Murphy, age 61, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Osmond Bruce Winstead and Maxine Ray Winstead formerly of Elm City. She is survived by her daughter, Shelly Murphy Woodruff of Middlesex; sisters, Brenda Winstead Womble of Chesterfield, VA, Kay Winstead Reams of Tarboro, Rae Winstead Manning of Elm City. Visitation will be Friday, August 29, 2014 from 7:00 ~ 9:00 P.M. at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home Chapel; with burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
