Jerry Wayne was born on January 4, 1956, in Wilson County, North Carolina to the late Joe William Holland and Lee Alice Mobley Holland.
He was the owner and operator of Jerry Wayne Holland Roofing. Jerry Wayne loved fishing and working in his yard.
His pets will miss him dearly, white dog, Tiger, and Snap Bean. Time with his friends and family were very important to him.
Jerry Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca “Eve” Lucas Taylor, of the home; two sons, Joseph Wayne Holland, and wife Angela Mumford Holland, of Kenly, NC and Luke Taylor and wife Melissa, of Greenville, NC; one brother Buddy Holland, and wife Janie, of Wilson, NC; five sisters, Betty Joe Montemarano, and husband Frank, of New York, New York, Mary Alice Sharpe, and husband Peanut, of Elm City, NC, Linda Farmer, and husband Danny, of Wilson, NC, Janie Holland, of Bailey, NC, and Sheila Holland Stone, and husband P.V., of Kenly, NC; three grandchildren, Lindsey Holland, Durand Mumford, and Levi Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Emma Mumford and Bennett Mumford; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Family and friends will gather from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home in Wilson, NC.
A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery, in Wilson with Rev. Randy Jenkins officiating.
Family and friends will go in procession to the graveside service concluding the visitation.
