James Moskos

James Moskos, age 81, passed away April 21, 2024, at UNC Wayne Medical Center. He was born February 5, 1943, to the late James Moskos and Thelma Jones Moskos and was also predeceased by his siblings, George Moskos, Mary Simpson, Helen Mitchell, James Peter Moskos and Nancy High.

James was an Air Force Ret’d Chief Master SGT after serving for 36 years and then served with the Federal Government as a contractor. He served in both Gulf wars. He traveled the world and had many stories to tell! He will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons James G. Moskos (Morgan) of Goldsboro and James Mark Moskos (Lisa) of New Jersey, his nieces Mary Rush, Ruth Hewitt and Angie Glenn, his nephews Stuart Batten and Joey McDonald and numerous great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wife Florence Kaufman.

A graveside service with full Military Honors will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 2 PM in Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
