Betty Skinner Ruskin, 88, of Elm City passed away Wednesday. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2020, in Evergreen Memorial Park, 2800 Nash St. N, Wilson, NC, with Rev. Gene Wells officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St. N, Wilson, NC.
Surviving are her daughter, Lina Jones Moye of Elm City; one son, Bill Jones of Elizabeth City; four grandchildren, Terry Stancil, Michelle Jones, Donnie Jones and Amanda Jones; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Ray “Bubba” Skinner of Winterville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Ruskin; one daughter, Joann Nichols; one son, Allen Jones; parents: Ollin Benjamin and Lina Hill Skinner; two sisters, Helen Joyner and Sharon Pierce; one brother, Ollin Skinner, Jr.; and one grandson, Timothy Jones.
