Barbara Nichols Link, age 89, passed away September 11, 2024 at Wilson Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 26, 1935 in Wilson County to the late Atlas Ben Nichols and Lizzie Mae Fulghum Nichols and was also predeceased by her brother Billy Nichols.
Barbara was an Airline stewardess for many years and also worked at Belk’s for many years. She grew up on a farm and enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Patricia Province and her husband Jay of Crawford, Nebraska, Rebecca Link of Pensacola, Florida and Dianne Williamson and her husband Eddie of Wilson, her sister-in-law Janet Nichols of Simms and her grandchildren, Amelia Province, Samuel Province, Lauren Ware and her husband John and Benjamin Stott.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 12 PM in the chapel of Thomas – Yelverton Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Edmundson and Pastor Cameron Barnes officiating. The inurnment will follow the service in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends starting at 11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
