Aaron K. "Bud" Newcomb Sr.

Aaron K. “Bud” Newcomb, Sr., 88, of Wilson passed away Friday. Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022, at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, Wilson, NC, with Pastor Wesley Newcomb officiating. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in Stantonsburg Cemetery, Stantonsburg, NC

The family will receive friends Monday, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home located at 2704 Nash St. N, Wlson, NC.

Bud was a retired Sergeant Major with the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country. He loved fishing and cooking BBQ. Bud loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He truly enjoyed the time spent with his grandson, Wesley. Bud was truly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are two sons: Aaron K. “Pete” Newcomb, Jr. of Bailey and James E. “Sam” Newcomb (Linda) of Snow Hill; two grandchildren: Wesley Newcomb (Nannette) and Rita Newcomb Creech; two great-grandchildren: Allie Creech and Brayden Gregory; a brother: Donald Newcomb (Justine); two sisters: Ann N. Mercer and Marie N. Futrell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Trevathan Newcomb; his parents, Leslie and Margaret Parris Newcomb; his brother, L.G. Newcomb; his sister-in-law, Lee Newcomb.
