He was born in Sampson County, NC on May 16, 1941.
Bill was an avid reader and took pride in taking care of his yard. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Bill loved to travel and take his wife Rubbie to see new places. In 2002 they took a month-long vacation together traveling the eastern United States.
Bill retired from the Service America Company in 1997 after 24 years of service. As a young man he also served for 4 years in the United States Army.
Bill was the son of the late Maybelle Bordeaux and was preceded in death by his daughter Sharon Yvette Elliott.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rubbie M. Faircloth; grandchildren Michael Elliott, Jr., Leanne Elliott, and Reese Elliott; Brother-in-law Milton McArthur; Son-in-law Michael Elliott, Sr. and his wife Justine Elliott and their daughter Rebekah.
A visitation will be held at Coble-Ward-Smith Funeral Service from 6-8pm on Thursday, May 7th.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, May 8th at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Donnie Lovette officiating.
Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens with Military Honors officiated by the American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard.
