He was born in Pireway, NC to the late Vivion Ogilvia Elderdice and Carrie Love Smith Elderdice. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 37 years, Jeanette Elderdice and his great-granddaughter Haylee Grace Watson.
He is survived by his sons, Randy Elderdice of Wilmington and Timmy Elderdice (Shannon) of Holly Springs; granddaughters Brittany Watson (Brian) of Burgaw, Brooke Ottaway (Alex) of Connecticut, Amber Eldred (Foster) of Burgaw and Cayton Elderdice of Holly Springs,; seven great-grandchildren: Kinlee, Brayden, Sadie, Hannah, Emma, Jameson, and Parker; one brother, Vivion (Robert) Elderdice, and four sisters: Jeanette Watson, Annell Dyckman, Debbie Pirozzolo, and Brenda White, as well as best friend and companion, JoAnn Bryan.
His passion was restoring antique cars, and he was very gifted in doing so. He was a long-term member of the Late Great Chevy Club, where he made lifetime friends. He retired after 33 years at General Electric, where he worked in the maintenance department. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was a quiet, humble soul with a huge heart who will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 6, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC 28412.
Funeral Service will start at 11:00 am on Thursday December 7, 2023 in the Coble Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel with Pastor Eddie Eaton Officiating. Interment will follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1311 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC 28411.
Following the service, the family will receive visitors at 113 Rockwell Rd., Wilmington, NC 28411.
Pallbearers: Michael Watson, Paul Bryan, Bobby Elderdice, Foster Eldred, Brian Watson, Cody Neville.
