Vanessa Lynn Casteen

in Beverly, Ohio on May 3, 1967. Her parents are Gloria Miller Farley and the late Daniel Farley.

She was a 1985 graduate of Caldwell High School and Muskingum Area Joint Vocational

School. After graduating with a degree in accounting from Liberty University in Virginia, she

spent many years working and honing her craft in finance. She began working for Republic

Services in 2001 where she held management positions in Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC.

This kick started her career as a Finance Manager for Republic's Raleigh/Durham market. In

November of 1990, Vanessa met Adrian Casteen in Falls Church, Virginia that led to many

adventures and the two were married on June 27, 1992, having their first and only child, Gillian

in 1998. Vanessa loved spending time with her husband, daughter, and her sweet dogs, Sophie

and Chewy. Her family was the light of her life and she loved to vacation with her husband and

daughter in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.

Vanessa was predeceased by her father Daniel Farley, her mother-in-law, Betty M. Bradley and

a sister-in-law, Darla Farley.

Vanessa is survived by many siblings, Tina (Patrick) Matlack of Rock Hill, SC, George Manning

(Linda) Miller of Cambridge, OH, Gerry (Shauna) Miller of Pasadena, MD, Terry (Mandy) Miller

of Caldwell, OH, Bill (Stacy) Miller of Marietta, OH, Donna Farley of Caldwell, OH and Richard

Farley of Macksburg, OH, Sister in law Joann (Sean) Habron of Chapel Hill, NC; aunts, uncles,

several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Vanessa and Adrian are members of Woodland Baptist Church where memorial services will be

held in Wake Forest, North Carolina (190 Woodland Church Rd) on Saturday, July 15th, 2023 at

11 am. All are welcome to join our family in celebrating the beautiful life of Vanessa Casteen.
