Shirley Miles Gore, 85 of Wilmington, NC died January 17, 2021. She was born November 4, 1935 to Bernice Allen Russ and Nancy Lucille Pigott Russ.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur (Art) Norman Gore, grandson Josh Cook; brother Rodney Allen Russ and sister Marlene Dietrich Russ Harmon.
Shirley Gore is survived by her daughter, Sherri Jo Pridgen Cook and husband Steven Cook; stepsons Arthur Norman Gore, Sr. and James Kemp Gore; brother Martin Lowell Russ; and grandson Chad Cook and great grandson, Ryan Cook and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday January 20, 2021 at Coble Funeral and Cremation at Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Burt Vezina officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the Funeral Service. Reception at Lake Forest Baptist Church following the service.
