Richard was born in Illinois on March 3, 1964, son of Richard Alec Campbell and Emma Lee McLean Campbell. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Campbell and the Love of his life, his dog, Angel.
Richard was a character, he enjoyed making people laugh, the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers and tearing things down and rebuilding them then rebuilding the things he rebuilt already again.

Richard is survived by his nephew, Brandon and his wife Amy Riggan; step- brother, Tony Stanley along with a host of family, friends, co- workers and many others close to him.
A visitation for Richard will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412.
Funeral Service will start at 2:00 PM in the Coble Chapel. Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC, N.C. 28409.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard’s name to the St Jude’s Hospital at stjude.org
