He went on to graduate from Villanova University in 1967 and accepted a position with the National Security Agency in Maryland. Pete joined the Army in their Officer's Candidate School, earning the rank of Captain, and then continued to work at NSA where he met Barbara, the love of his life. After marrying, they spent the next 30 years raising their family in Annapolis.
After a life-long career, Pete retired but continued to work as a defense contractor until he and Barbara moved to Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina in 2001. This allowed them to spend more time on the golf course, which had become a favorite pastime they shared. Pete also spent countless hours sharing his computer skills by helping neighbors, family and friends. He also continued to volunteer for several years at the Phoenix Society and developed and maintained the membership database software for the National Cryptologic Foundation.
After losing Barbara, Pete spent the last few years living in Wilmington, NC, where he was able to enjoy more time with family. Pete loved watching movies and sports, especially Villanova basketball and Washington Redskins/Commanders football. He looked forward to meeting up with friends for breakfast and taking his family out to dinner.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Pete's life on Friday, April 11th at 4:00pm at the Salters Haven Club House, 39 Passage Point, Hampstead, NC to enjoy drinks and hors d'oeuvres and share stories.
