He was born in Pennsylvania on August 5, 1918 to William and Sadie Moser. He is a WWII veteran as a Radio Operator in the 12th Army Infantry 4th Division who landed at Utah Beach wading in water to his chin with his rifle over his head.
After the war, he moved to Milford, NJ to work at Riegel Paper Corp as a Pipefitter. In 1957, he transferred to their plant in Riegelwood, NC to continue his career as a Senior Pipefitter, where he retired after 40 years of service. He then opened a Ceramic Shop in Leland, NC which he closed after his wife’s death in 1993. Then he moved to Wilmington, NC where he resided until his passing. He was a member of Saint Matthews Lutheran Church. He has many friends and never met a stranger he could not make a friends with.
Milton was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Moser.
He is survived by his daughter Barbara Spivey of Wilmington, North Carolina, son Milton C. Moser II and wife Nita, of Arp, Texas. Along with Grandchildren Wendy and Danny Langston of Wilmington, North Carolina, Tina and Eric King of Silverdale, Washington, Michael Moser of Arp, Texas, Lisa and Joseph Willis of Titusville, Florida and Joel and Melissa Spivey of Wilmington, North Carolina. Brother Leander Moser of Sacramento, California, and several nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Also a very special friend, Elsie Cates and his beloved cats Scooter, Rusty and Spider.
Visitation is Friday from 6:00 till 8:00pm with Funeral Service on Saturday at 1:30pm. Both at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, North Carolina, with Pastor Sam Zumwalt presiding. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Care Center in Milton’s name.
