Mary was a devoted wife to the late Kenneth B. Swain, Jr. and a loving and dedicated mother to her four children; Kenneth B. Swain III, and wife Carol, Jess W. Swain, Sr., and wife Molly, Delphine Swain Jenkins and husband Richard, and Ann Swain Smith, and husband Shane.
Mary was a faithful companion to her younger sister Gloria Jean Willard. Mary is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 10:00am at Oakdale Cemetery, 520 N. 15th St., Wilmington. Donations in her memory to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401, or the Wilmington Humane Society, 2405 N 23rd St, Wilmington, NC 28401 would be appreciated.
