Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward C. Pelland Jr., sixteen siblings and one granddaughter.
She is survived by: two sons, Martin Pelland and wife Roberta; Michael Pelland; six daughters, Joyce Lemon; Ann Tipton; Rosemary Watkins and husband Steve; Suzette Keffer and husband Ken; Margaret Raymer and husband Greg; Teresa Clark and husband Jimmy; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
She was an active member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church for sixty-five years and loved working with the young children. She worked at Frank’s Neckwear and helped make cabinets in a cabinet shop in Wrightsboro, NC. She retired from the USPS on July 31, 1989 after twenty-two years in the Wilmington area; in fact, she was the first woman carrier in Wilmington, NC. No matter what she did she always had love in her heart and a smile on her face.
A visitation, following all social distancing and mask guidelines, will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Sanctuary at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 7, 2020. The Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. following the visitation with Father Roger Nyimi officiating. Interment will follow at St. Stanisalus Church cemetery.
