Mary Malley

Mary was born in Buffalo,NY on June 1,1914, She was the daughter of the late John and Mae Kinmartin. A graduate of Bennett High School in Buffalo, she attended the University of Buffalo and graduated from Bryant & Stratton Business College. She married Chester J. Malley on April 1, 1942, with whom she moved to Wilmington from Montreal, Canada in 1976 upon his retirement. Mr. Malley predeceased her in 2002. A member and former president of the Wilmington chapter of North Carolina Sorosis, Mrs. Malley was a twenty –year volunteer at the Senior Center and a communicant of St. Mark’s Catholic Church.

Surviving are her son, Robert Malley of Westerly,RI and her grandson Cullen Malley of New York, NY.

Her brother, Rev. Nelson Kinmartin of Batavia, NY also predeceased her.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Coble Ward –Smith Funeral Home of Wilmington.

A private service and burial will be held in Buffalo,NY

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401 or to the North Carolina Sorosis Foundation, 20 Cardinal Drive, Wilmington, NC 28405
