Mary Elizabeth Gray

Mrs. Gray was born in Brunswick County on November 29, 1929 and was the daughter of the late William Clarence Varnam and Delma Robinson Varnam. She was longtime member of Winter Park Baptist Church and worked in the cafeteria at Roland-Grise School for many years. She was the wife of the late Charles C. Gray.

She is survived by three children, Jerry Daniel Gray of Bolivia, Dena Gray Simmons and husband Delane of Lyman, S.C., Donna Gray Putnam and husband Brady of Lexington, S.C.; grandchildren, Brannon Gray, Ethan Simmons(Kelly), Becci Johnson (Brett), Ryan Putnam (Gabby), Christine Putnam; great-grandchildren, Stella Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Ayden Simmons; a brother, Jerry Varnam (Maola) of Katy Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday September 8, 2017 at twelve o’clock noon at Winter Park Baptisy Church with Reverend Mark Teachy officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family at Winter Park Baptist Church on Friday morning one hour prior to the service.
