Mary was born on June 1, 1932 in Wilmington, NC, daughter of the late John William “Willie” Capps, Sr. and Mary Simmons Capps.
Mary was of the Baptist Faith, she worked at Sam’s Club where she received several awards for her colorful costumes thru out the year and several as employee of the month.
Mary loved all kinds of animals and devoted her time to the Humane Society. She also enjoyed making crafts and going to yard and estate sales.
Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James Marlow, who passed away in 1965, being a World War II veteran, he is buried in the National Cemetery in Wilmington and her second husband, A. M. M. Fraser, who served for the Queen’s Navy in Scotland.
Mary is survived by her children; Peter Allen Delpe, Johnnie Ray Marlow and wife Betty, Phillip Paul Marlow and Connie June Witherington and husband Mike; brother, Lewis Bennie Capps; eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday November 17, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM at Coble Ward -Smith Funeral Services, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday November 18, 2011 at Coble Ward – Smith Funeral Services with Pastor Mark Teachey of Winter Park Baptist Church officiating.
A Committal Service will follow at Oleander Memorial Garden, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409.
Memorial contributions be made to, New Hanover County Humane Society Inc, 2405 N 23rd Street Wilmington, NC 28401.
