Johnie was born in Holly Ridge, NC to Johnie Gilbert Thomas Sr. and Inez
Sanders Thomas on February 25, 1941.
He married Diane Edens Thomas on
April 17, 1966. He was a veteran that served in the United States
Navy. His hobbies were tinkering outside, wood working, and
spending time with his family.
Johnie is preceded in death by his parents.
Johnie is survived by his wife Diane, his children Denise Thomas Jones and
husband Michael Jones, Tammie Thomas Davis and husband Ronald Davis
Jr, his brother Wesley Thomas and wife Sharon, his grandchildren Alison,
Andrew, and Averie and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at 1:00 pm, (one hour before memorial service), Thursday,
June 14, 2018 at Topsail Presbyterian Church, 16249 North Hwy 17,
Hampstead NC 28443.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 14, 2018 at
Topsail Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Joseph Washburn officiating.
Memorial donations may be given to Topsail Presbyterian Church.
