Joel Randy Thompson, age 73, of Zirconia, North Carolina died May 26, 2024. He was born in Mercer, Pennsylvania on December 26, 1950.
Joel will be remembered for his love of music, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather to his 8 grandchildren.
Surviving are his son Lani Thompson and wife Michelle, his daughter Anna Slager and husband Jonathan, his daughter Lucy Marchione and husband Ben, his daughter Betty Davis and husband Dan, as well as his sister Gloria Wright and family.
Joel is preceded in death by his wife Isabelle Thompson and his parents Earl " Red" Thompson and Hazel Thompson.
A graveside service will be held on June 2, 2004 at Oleander Memorial Gardens in Wilmington, North Carolina.
