Mrs. Rankin was active in St. Therese Catholic Church in Wrightsville Beach and enjoyed gardening and playing poker.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Anna McIntyre and a son Michael Rankin.
She is survived by a daughter, Jean Ann Irwin of Wilmington, NC; son, Stephen “Skipper” Rankin of Stuart, FL; daughters-in-law, Stephanie Rankin of Stuart, FL and Regina Grinnell of Galax, VA; five grandchildren, Stacy Guarneri, Nancy Richardson, Scott Rankin, Melissa Irwin, and Anna Rankin; five great-grandchildren, Emily Alford, Brianna Garland, Carly Rankin, Sarah Richardson, Sophia Guarneri; and one great great-grandson, Cayden Alford.
Funeral Rites will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 12:00pm at St. Therese Catholic Church.
