James T. “Jim” Gray, 86, of Wilmington passed away on January 22, 2019. Jim was born in Asheboro, NC June 2, 1932 to the late Samuel T. Gray and Ruby Gray of High Point, NC. He was also preceded in death by his wife Nancy Gray.
Jim served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1949 to 1954 and was a highly decorated Korea veteran, receiving six Battle Stars. He retired from the American Tobacco Co. and Swisher International of Jacksonville, FL. He was in sales for over forty years.
Jim was a member of Pine Valley United Methodist Church and a member of the Agape Sunday School class.
He is survived by his son William Gray of Wilmington, step-daughter Deborah Simmons and husband Mike of Pinehurst, NC, and other relatives in Asheboro, NC.
A Graveside Service will be 1pm on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
