In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Perry Lee Johnston; sister-in-law, Linda Paul Johnston and nephew Steven Shane Johnston.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph George Johnston, Jr. and wife Motoko of Georgia; nieces: Kelly Hansen of Wilmington and Tracy Johnston of Hampstead; nephews: Caleb Hansen of Wilmington, Perry D. Johnston and wife Tammy of Oak Island, Kansas Johnston of Hampstead, Jeffrey Johnston of Georgia and many special cousins, great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service, 1155 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington with Pastors Joey Canady and Melvin Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
