Helen Rae Ferris

Helen Ferris, age 91 went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 14th, 2015 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center. She was born in Wilmington on May 25, 1923, the daughter of the late Kirby Daniels and Lillian Daniels. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Ferris, 4 sisters a brother and a grandson, Gary Rivenbark. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and was kind to everyone. She is survived by her daughters Helen Rae Rivenbark and husband Edgar of Wrightsboro; Betty Cottle and husband Kenny of Castle Hayne, and son Robert Rogers and wife Mary of Hampstead. She leaves behind six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday March 18, 2015 at Olivet Baptist Church by the Rev. Johnny Porter, Rev. Kane McKenzie and Rev. Wayne Cottle. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Other visitation can be made at the home of Betty Cottle at 106 Ritter Drive in Castle Hayne. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
