In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Herbert Lee Parker.
Gladys was a dedicated Christian wife, mother, friend, and a diligent seeker of God’s Word. She enjoyed cooking, singing hymns/fun songs, and reading. She was also an accomplished seamstress. Gladys loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her five children: Sylvia Bellows (Richard), Sonia Sarvis (Charles), Gladys Lynn Parker Johnson, Trina Verzaal (Mike), and John Parker; eight grandchildren: Wendy Williams, Michael David Williams (Shara), Robert Williams (Meredith), Leslie Bellows, Jeremy Johnson, April Johnson, Wesley Verzaal (Tamara) and Parker (little buddy) Verzaal (Jamie); fourteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Oleander Memorial Gardens with Pastor Steve Smith officiating.
