George Wayland Britt Jr.

George Wayland Britt, Jr., age 65 of Leland, NC went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2022. He was born in Wilmington, NC on May 16, 1957 to George Wayland Britt, Sr. and Billie Fields Britt. He was preceded in death by his father George Wayland Britt, Sr.

Wayland, often referred to as “Bubba,” enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, in the garden and cooking. He was very proud of his four children and five grandchildren. His hunting and fishing legacy will live on through them. Wayland never met a stranger and his life revolved around his family and friends. Wayland enjoyed living at the beach, however he would often travel to the mountains in the fall to see the colorful foliage.

He is survived by his mother, Billie Britt, brothers and sister Buddy Britt (Nancy), Linda Smith and Barry Britt (Rene). His children Jamie Britt (Amanda), Eric Britt, Nina Britt and Kelli Britt (Brad). His beloved grandchildren Jacob and Caleb Britt, Andee Grace and Pearson (Pup) Faulk, and Olivia Britt (Ollie) and many special nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Friends of Leland Public Safety.
