Fred A. Parrish Jr., 77, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on June 18, 2012. He was born in New Hanover County on May 24, 1935 to the late Fred A. Parrish Sr. and Lucy Blue. Mr. Parrish is retired from the US Coast Guard and the US Postal Service.
He is survived by his children, Michael Blanton, Fredda Parrish, and William Parrish; siblings, Janet Yates, Juanita Rappleye, Jean Bennett, and Larry Parrish; grandchildren, Jeremy Blanton, Kristen Perry, Josh Blanton, and Eric Wilson; great-grandchildren, Brendon Blanton and Noah Blanton.
A memorial service will be held at Coble Ward-Smith, Oleander Chapel on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM followed by Military Honors and inurnment at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
