Eugene Haywood Eason

He was born in Rocky Point, North Carolina on September 3, 1928 to Wilbur Leonard Eason and Ruby Westbrook Eason.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather Sampson Moore, Sr., first wife Margaret Eason; sisters: Virginia Dean, Louise Clemmons and Mary Moore; brothers: Harold Moore, Sampson Moore, Jr., Bill Eason and Edward Moore.

He is survived by his wife Sylvia Vaughan Eason of the home; daughters; Debbie King and husband Ed, Barbara Eason and Becky Benson and husband Dale all of Wilmington; stepsons: Gery Vaughan and fiance' Estelle of Wilmington, Keith Vaughan of New Bern, NC; step-daughter Kimberly Jones and husband Bob of Waxsaw, NC; grandchildren: Sonny King and Eden King; great-granddaughter Ella Beth King; step-granddaughter Brooke Jones and step-grandsons: Ryan Jones and wife Jade and Christopher Jones.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service, 1155 Shipyard Blvd. Wilmington, NC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
