Elizabeth Britt

Born May 4, 1933 in Lumberton, NC to Neil and Myrel Rice. In 1953, she married her husband of 63 years Jesse (J.W) Britt.

Lib had a loving and giving spirit and was rarely seen without a smile on her face. Throughout her lifetime, she had a steadfast faith in God and was an active member of Winter Park Baptist Church.

Surviving with her husband are two daughters; Susanne Cover of Hope Mills, NC, Pamela Warren and Husband Mark of Louisburg, NC, two sisters; Yvonne Wilkins of Lumberton, NC, Betty Speed of Charlotte, NC, five grandchildren; Ryan Cover, Rebecca Cover, Justin Cover, Patrick Warren, Rachel Warren , and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lib is preceded in death by a daughter Cathy Britt Tyson, a sister Naomi Rice, and granddaughter Jessica Cover.

A celebration of her life will be held at Winter Park Baptist Church on Wednesday May 31, 2017 at 11am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Memorial Service in Fellowship Hall. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America, or to Winter Park Baptist Church.
