Donald Lee McLamb Sr., age 74, of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away at home on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. He was born on September 3,1949 in Duplin County, North Carolina to Carly McLamb and Sadie Norris McLamb, both deceased.
Mr. McLamb was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was also the owner/operator of his own construction company for many years and retired as the Facility Manager for the City of Wilmington after fifteen years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather that loved his family very much. His favorite pastimes were fishing and spending time with his grandkids. He loved all and was loved by all.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Johnson McLamb of the home; son Donald Lee McLamb, Jr. and wife Amy of Wilmington; three grandchildren: Lily, Finn and Fisher and his cat, Sparkle.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Pastor David Walker officiating. A visitation will immediately follow the service.
