David John Schreiner

One of the best men that has ever walked this earth slipped away from us in his sleep Sunday afternoon. David John Schreiner was born August 8, 1951 in Dallas Texas and passed Sunday, November 4, 2012. David was a local restaurateur, of David’s Deli, the Wit’s End and Schreiner’s Restaurant.

David left behind his wife of 29 years, Donna, and two loving children, Lacey Brooke Schreiner, and David John Schreiner Jr. David is also survived by two sisters, Stacy Schreiner of Charlotte, NC and Stehpanie Burnett and brother-in-law Hand Burnett of Holland; brother Bill Schreiner and wife Carol of Charlotte, NC with lots of nieces and nephews.

David touched so many people in ways they’ll never forget and was a wonderful friend to all he befriended. He especially loved all of his “little girls.” I will love and miss my wonderful soul mate forever. Bye My husband, Donna.

A memorial service will be Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Coble Ward-Smith, Oleander Chapel, with Pastor Chris Wrotten officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in David’s honor to the Humane Society.
