He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Thomas and Alexandre deBettencourt, his brothers, Manuel and Paul deBettencourt.
He is survived by his wife, Katie Bettencourt, his four children, Karen Hollar and husband Scott, Lisa Bettencourt, Andy Bettencourt and wife Shelby, and David Bettencourt, as well as his five grandchildren, Riley, Bailey and Aubrey Bettencourt and Michael and Peyton Hollar. He is also survived by his brother, Alexandre deBettencourt, his sister-in-law Tina Marlowe and husband David, his sister-in law Paula deBettencourt, his 3 brothers-in-law, Russell & Randy Stewart, and Robert Lee Whitehurst, as well as his nephews Bryan deBettencourt, Adam and Cody Schmidt and his niece Robin Holbrook.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412.
