Cornelia Ann Chewning

Cornie was born in Wallace, North Carolina on March 15, 1938, to the late V. C. . Potter, Sr.

and Annie Mae Bonham Potter. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 60

years, Harold Lee Chewning, Sr., and brother, Rev. V. C. Potter, Jr.

She took great pride in family, and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren who made her hazel eyes sparkle more than they already did.

She worked at Kmart for 28 years and had many cherished friends from there. She was also a proud lifetime member of Ogden Baptist Church whose support is abundant.

Surviving is her son, Harold Lee Chewning, Jr., (Pam); Grandson, Harold Lee Chewning, III,(Katelyn); Granddaughter, Anna Chewning; two great grandchildren, Harold Lee Chewning IV and Lena Hope and her brother Carl V. Potter. (Uncle Peanut).

Thank you so much to Anna for caring for her grandmother so many months and the caring team at Northchase Nursing and Rehab Center and to Todd who gave us such support in the last hours.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Ogden Baptist Church, Thursday June 1, 2023 at 11am.
