Carol E. Heck

Carol E. Heck (Emerson) passed peacefully on June 9, 2016 surrounded by her family.

She was born and raised in Pennsauken, NJ. After her formative years in NJ, Carol and her husband Richard retired in 1992 and relocated to Wilmington, NC. Carol was a graduate of Pennsauken High School ’62. She spent several years in the public sector working in various school systems and churches. However, Carol’s greatest love and gift was raising her children. Carol was admired, loved and respected by those who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Carol is survived by her husband, Richard Heck, of 52 years; her children Susan Bell (Jeff), Steven Heck (Rebecca) her sister, Sandra Urbach of Loon Lake NY; and 4 grandchildren, Kevin, Katherine, Tyler and Grayson.

Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to celebrate her life at a service on Saturday, July 23 at 10 a.m. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1401 South College Road, Wilmington, NC.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
