He was born in Kannapolis, NC on May 7, 1934, son to the late Eddie Lee and Rabie Sides Spivey. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia Furr and Louise Roberts.
Bobby started his military career in the U.S Navy but retired proudly from the U.S. Air Force after 21 dedicated years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mildred Williams Spivey and son, Joseph Daryl Spivey.
Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.
Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, November 17, 2105 at Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church, 800 Piner Road, Wilmington, NC 28409.
Interment with Military Honors will follow at Williams Family Cemetery, Williams Rd, Wilmington, NC 28409.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church.
