Anthony (Tony) Marshall Whitley

Tony was born in Carteret County, NC on December 10, 1960.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Eva McLee Lynch Whitley and William Clayton Whitley; brother, Roger Dale Whitley and sister, Vennie Whitley Chadwick.

Tony proudly served in the United States Army from 1980 to 1984. He retired from General Electric as a Gauge Inspector. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all loved playing with his grandchildren.

Tony is survived by his wife, Sylvia B. Whitley; his children, Bradley Marshall Whitley, Christopher Lee Whitley and Kayla Marie Deck and her husband Justin James Deck; two grandchildren, Evelyn Emma Deck and Winston James Deck; God daughter, Catalin Rain Chatfield; sister, Sandy Whitley Clark and her husband Tim Clark; two brothers, William Whitley and his wife Felicia Whitley and Mitchell Whitley. Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 31, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday September 1, 2022 in the Coble Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel with Rev. C. Ray Barnhill officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Oleander Memorial Garden, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC 28412.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Wounded Warriors or St Jude both were Near and Dear to his Heart.
