Teresa Greenwood passed peacefully in her home in Wilmington, California on May, 28th, 2020 at the age of 89.
Teresa De Jesus Greenwood was born October 15, 1930 in the small town of Mocorito, Sinaloa, Mexico, to Claudio Lopez Roman and Felix Avendano Lopez.
Teresa moved to Wilmington at the age of seventeen to live with Gabriel and Connie Torres. It was Gabriel who introduced Teresa to a co-worker and fellow Longshoremen Walter Greenwood with whom she fell in love. They were married in 1956 and continued to reside in Wilmington together until Walters passing in 1997. Together they had three boys, Walter Eddie, Michael and Harvey.
She enjoyed cooking, vacationing with her boys and spending time with her family and friends. She would always have guests visit from her hometown in Mexico and would often travel there for weddings, Quinceañeras, and to visit relatives.
Teresa is survived by her three boys Eddie and wife Melissa, Michael and wife Mona, Harvey and wife Bridgette. She had seven grandchildren, Joshua, Jazmin, Destiny, Tori, Quincy, Meagan and Mandie. She had two great grandchildren, Mila and Ezekial. Teresa also had three stepchildren Gary, Carol and Bob from her husband. She also had many nieces and nephews that she loved in Sinaloa, Mexico.
Teresa will be missed by the many lives she has touched throughout her life. We love you MOM!
