Juanita Mendez, age 83, of Carson, California passed away on Friday July 26, 2019, in Downey, California. Juanita was born May 16, 1936 in El Dorado, Kansas, to her parents: Ramon & Josephine Villanueva
Juanita is survived by: daughter June Mendez; and daughter Jeanne Mendez; brother Paul Villanueva, sister Rosita Sigala and brother Tony (Diana) Villanueva.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Mendez; son Johnny Mendez. She leaves her legacy on this earth through her 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren & 4 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous family members, who will cherish her memory in their hearts.
Visitation for Juanita will be held Friday, August 9, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Wilmington, 1640 North Avalon Blvd, Wilmington, CA 90744, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. in the Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Church, 1011 East L Street, Wilmington, CA 90744. Interment to follow at Wilmington Cemetery, 605 East O Street, Wilmington, CA 90744.
