Jose T. Martinez "JT" passed away peacefully in his sleep, Friday November 12, 202. JT was born in Wilmington, California on March 13, 1939 to Maria and Donicio Martinez. JT graduated from Banning High School, then served in the Navy from 1958 - 1962. After working 39 years at the Long Beach Navy shipyard as electrician JT retired. He is survived by his wife Raquel and children Pete, Cindy, John and Christopher. JT was involved in the community and a huge supporter of Banning High School football and Pilots marching band. JT was gregarious and always had a story to tell about Hunting, Fishing or his many adventures. JT is now with our Father in Heaven resting in Eternal Peace.
A visitation for JT will be held Monday, November 29, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Wilmington, 1640 North Avalon Blvd, Wilmington, CA 90744. A rosary will occur Monday, November 29, 2021 at 6:30 PM. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St Peter & St Paul Catholic Church, 515 W Opp St, Wilmington, California 90744.
JT will be laid to rest in Wilmington Cemetery, 605 E O St, Wilmington, California 90744.
