Toby Elaine Wolf, 96, of Hoffman Estates, (formerly of Wauconda and Skokie) passed away on June 6, 2020, after a brief illness. She was born to the late Philip and Helen (nee Wolff) Urkoff on April 15, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois. She was predeceased by her brother, Manny M. Urkoff. After an engagement that spanned over WWII, Toby married her beloved husband, the late Bert D. Wolf, in 1946, upon his completion of military service. They were married for 56 years, and together they raised their family in Skokie, Illinois.
Toby’s greatest joy in life was always her family. In her later years, they remained the focal point of her life, and she delighted in their visits and calls. She had a wonderful sense of humor; her laughter was infectious. Toby had a gift of caring for people, helping several older family members and friends in their later years. During her retirement years, she volunteered at Lutheran General Hospital distributing menus and reading materials to patients and sharing time with them. Toby enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles, and TV reruns from the 50’s and 60’s.
She will be greatly missed by her loving children, Dr. Barry (Diane) Wolf; and Adrienne Sue (James) Fassino; her cherished grandchildren, Stacey Fassino; Michael Wolf; Carrie Raymond; and Bryan Wolf; her adored great granddaughter, Samantha Raymond; and her niece, Roberta (Charles) Kamen.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, funeral services and interment were held privately. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
