Thomas H. Brinkmann, 94, of Evanston, IL, passed away on October 20th, 2023. He was born on June 30, 1929, in Indianapolis, IN. Thomas, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Thomas is survived by his children Beth (James) Brinkmann Cianci, James (Barbara) Brinkmann, and John (Lisa) Brinkmann. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Mia McGrew, Matthew Cianci, Kristin Brinkmann, Katie Brinkmann, Corinne Wall, and Tim Dorsett, as well as several great-grandchildren. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife Nancy (née Evans) Brinkmann, parents Frank and Ruth Brinkmann, and his brother Frank Brinkmann.
After graduating from Northwestern University in 1952, Thomas served in the United States Army during the Korean War. His dedication and service to his country were commendable. Thomas had a successful career as a Trade Association Executive. He was passionate about his work and made significant contributions to his field. In his free time, Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family, indulging in his love for history, and participating in various outdoor activities.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Thomas’ memory to the Dementia Society of America or the Alzheimer’s Association. Your support will help fund vital research and support services for those affected by these devastating diseases.
