My dad was treated by Dr. Krause over  20 years ago. Unfortunately he passed away at that time. For the years he treated my dad, my mom was by his side. Dr Krause was so compassionate and caring. My mother was so protective of my father and Dr. Krause finally said to my mom,.  Do you  want to examine him too?  He would say to my mom as she hovered over my dad. My mother had no idea what she was doing at the time. I met  Dr. Krause several times and was impressed by his compassion and his love it true love of his patients. God bless him for his devotion and passion for his patients.

The wonderful Dr. Krauss was the only one who was able to control my Iron Deficiency Anemia.  Thanks to him, my Hemoglobin was consistently at 12.6 which was a miracle for me after 1984 removal of 3/4 of my stomach due to bleeding ulcers.  I always looked forward to every 2 monthly visits. as his sense of humor never failed to encourage me with my battle with Anemia.  I certainly miss him greatly, as I am certain his wonderful family also have.  My deepest condolences to everyone who loved him.

I am so incredibly sorry to hear that Dr. Krauss has passed on. 

He was my mother's high school classmate and, a lifetime later, her oncologist at Chicago's Weiss Hospital. I met him under extreme circumstances. We learned it had become too late for my mother after he and his team did amazing work to fight her cancer, but his enormous heart and professional demeanor put me at ease. He treated my mother - and all of his patients - as friends he would do anything to save. 

I realize this letter of condolence is coming very late. I was ironically just remembering him today and found his obituary on Google. 

In wishing his family and loved ones so much love, light and strength, I want to also stress what an important role he played in my family's life: he gave us many more wonderful years with my mother (her cancer went into remission twice over ten years with his help!) and, under his excellent care, she transitioned with dignity. 

Rest in peace to an absolute angel.

My condolence to family and friends of doctor krauss, he was my doctor ever since I was diagnose with sarcoma at weiss, always fun and in a good attitude, I just found out about his departure, I miss him; he was great. may he rest in peace.

Dr. Krauss you will always have my respect, good friend ,  and good doctor. I appreciate you for helping me out when I got my diagnosis back 2020 and always had a sense of humor.  You will be miss .

I just found out about Mr. Krauss passing. I have been a cancer treatment patient for 13 years, and I am so happy Stewart was my doctor!! He was a very compassionate and  hopeful person, and so so intelligent!!

I can remember him speaking of concerts he had seen, and his famous it’s time for the muppets answering ringer was always a hoot!!! I will miss him dearly and I will keep the humor and shinning in my life because of knowing his spirit! Smiles and blessings,

In Sept. 2002 I was diagnosed with rectal cancer.  Dr. Krause was suggested as a qualified Doctor to handle such a problem.  He suggested several different Chemos as I shook my head in
bewildered.  I commented ‘You chose Sir’.  Today I am free of this bug. During all the treatments and follow-ups I could not have been more satisfied. Dr. Krause was Not only knowledgeable but compassionate, a good listener, explained matters so I understood what was happening, had a sense of humor which made me relax, always had time to talk about our travels and likes, proud of his family and cohorts at Weiss, etc. etc.  With each visit we became better friends.  To me Dr. Krauss was the “Doctor of all Doctors.”    Thank you, Dr. Krause!

May the soul of Stuart Krauss be bound up in the Bond of Eternal Life, Amen.

Over six years ago I was diagnosed (two professional opinions) of a breast cancer I had never heard of.  I was told by each hospital that my chances of survival were less than a year; and that my ethnicity survival was at 41% greater odds of survival.  I had to begin chemo immediately.  My son was home from college to see about me. My PCP at that time of 15 yrs,  called his school to explain our crisis.  We forced him to return to school, my mom took me to my first chemo.  I came home and exiting the building a few days later I collapsed, throwing up from my mouth and nose and other areas.  First responders rushed me to Weiss.  A couple of days later a guardian angel, Dr. Stuart Krauss, walked into my room, introduced himself told me he had had success treating this diagnosis; one that had claimed most of my dad’s daughters’  lives.  I discovered that I had not only an extraordinary blessing of life continued through his efforts but this esteemed professional  and quintessential  network of  extraordinary doctors, oncology nurses and staff that treat not only your diagnosis but  extended care for the patient must be maximal for survival and it was!   I am still here!   Rest in peace Dr. Krauss.  Your living was NOT in vain.

I couldn’t find the right words to say at first. And, I still can’t believe how sudden this was. You was the best Doc I ever met and I must say the funniest. I’ve had great memories working in the office with you. You would always say “I appreciate you Chaz for everything you do” I’m going to miss the hilarious comments and conversations you would have with me. I’m going to continue to pray for your family. You will be truly missed Dr. Krauss. I’ll never say good bye but more like see you later . 🙏🏽🙏🏽

The Soil family would like to express our deepest condolences to your family on the loss  of Dr. Krauss.  He treated my husband for the past 2 years.  The two of them had a great time debating  which team was the best:  The Soxs or the Cubs.  I will always remember his kindness, compassion, and the the excellent care that he gave to my husband. I want to share my condolences to the family and Oncology staff at Weiss Hospital.  I remember the first time I met Dr. Krauss in 2016.
He walked in the room with a huge smile and was wearing a tie that had lots of musical notes on it.  The rest is history.  I have been a patient of his twice now and his wisdom, knowledge, dedication and compassion has never changed.  He was also kind, funny and encouraging.  I could not have had a better Oncologist and friend.
Dr. Krauss helped so many people and he will truly be missed.  I am forever grateful and thank God for him being a blessing in our lives.

I will always remember the meaningful conversations we had on political issues and family and the good things in life. To all the family , friends and colleagues of Dr Stuart Krauss,  my deepest condolences to you all, I had the honor of working with Dr.Krauss on various occasions during my 29 years at Weiss and he was simply the best , years ago when our payroll dept was at the hospital I would pick up his check on payday and he would say I was his favorite person only for that day (LOL)…Dr.Krauss was  highly intelligent , witty, caring, funny, wise, compassionate, dedicated and that is why when my husband was diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago, I  knew he was the only Oncologist that I wanted over his care, he was amazing with his care and because of his dedication to his patients my husband cancer is currently in remission, my husband and Dr. Krauss formed a bond and they called each other buddies ,we are both deeply saddened by the loss he will be in both of our lives. We Thank God for blessing us , by allowing him to be in our lives, we are forever grateful, Dr Krauss helped to save so many lives … may he rest peacefully his  work here is done.

I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. Stuart and I had a relationship that spanned over 40 years. I met him when we were both young docs and while we did not see each other often over the years, when we did it was always an easy reunion. We would talk about sports and medicine  but primarily  about life and family.
He was smart and funny and  I will remember him as just being a good guy.

Dr. Krauss was an extraordinary man and a wonderful physician.  My son in law and I were blessed by his knowledge, vast network of colleagues, and his absolute determination to destroy our cancer.  I cannot imagine having a greater advocate for either of us throughout this disease process (for Rich it was 17 years and for me it has been almost 8).  Dr. Krauss always treated us like family.  We were never a number to him or his staff.  He treated every patient with respect and dignity. 
May God bless you Dr. Krauss with much deserved peace and happiness.  I can never thank you enough for your expertise and dedication.  You filled me with hope and confidence.  You will always be in my heart.
