She was a beloved wife, best friend and mentor of Steven Gelman. For 45 years, they celebrated anniversaries at Bob Chinn's Crab House, spent weekends gardening and enjoying each other's company in the backyard. She always took the time to make things just right for him. He will miss the long talks on road trips across the country, cooking dinner each night and serving a coffee before bed.
Loving mother of Jamie (Steven) Massarsky, Jacklyn (Ricky) Brandt and Jennifer (Jay) Solway. Adored Ommy of Miles, Emmy, Blake and Leo. Dear sister of Merrick (Gail) Bromberg. Cherished daughter-in-law of Arlene Gelman.
She was the heart of her home. Known for her calming presence, honest perspective and unconditional love, it would be difficult to find a person in her life that didn’t rely on her for advice or just an ear to listen. Her laid-back outlook on life grounded her loved ones and made space for everyone.
Nothing made her happier than raising her three daughters, playing with her grandchildren and spending summers with her family in Door County. At home, you would find her leaning over a puzzle by the fireplace, with her dog Lucy at her side, and a Hallmark movie in the background.
Stacy was a force in the professional world. Starting her career as a creative, she rose to the position of Executive Vice President, Director of Operations, over a successful 40 years in marketing.
