

Robert H. Frick, 90, died peacefully on September 25, 2014 in Evanston, IL. Robert was born to Claude and Urshal (nee Hathaway) Frick on June 28, 1924 in Lakewood, Ohio. He graduated from Lakewood High School. During WWII, Robert was stationed in New Guinea as a weather observer with the Army Air Corps. He attended college and law school at the University of Michigan. Robert was married for 45 years to Lenore (nee Maurin). They spent many summers camping with their family. In later years they enjoyed traveling, including an African safari. Throughout his life, Robert was an avid photographer.
Mr. Frick spent his working life as an attorney with Amoco Oil. He opened Amoco's first European office in France during 1960-61. He travelled internationally. He was the head of Amoco's international and national law departments for many years.
Robert is the beloved husband of Lenore; devoted father of Elaine Frick (Jim Oldenburg), Barbara Bundick (Mark) and Catherine Cayer (John); the loving brother of the late Dorothy Schott, and Steve, Platt, and Jean Frick; cherished grandfather of Elizabeth Bundick, Jennifer Smith (Shawn), Nicholas Oldenburg, and John, Sarah, and Kellie Cayer; and the doting great-grandfather of Evelyn Smith. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Kenilworth Union Church, 211 Kenilworth Ave, Kenilworth, IL 60043, 847-251-4272.
