I’m so sad to hear that this wonderful man and doctor passed. He was my gynecologist/obstetrician  for my fourth child’s birth. He was gentle, caring, so interesting and great and knowledgeable doctor. He helped me when I had issues during mesopause and got me through a hysterectomy. I love hearing his stories of travel and research helping people all around the world. I was blessed to know him.

I am so sad to learn of this great loss. We cannot say enough good things about our patient experience. Above and beyond patient care.

 We remember that Dr. Ginsberg wore pins featuring pictures of his children. Who does that? Only the best of the best dads. He was a fascinating human being.

Now that my twins are nearly 24 yrs old, I looked up Dr. Ginsberg and found that he had passed. My sincere condolences to his family. Mine was a geriatric pregnancy, after having 2 miscarriages. At 8.5 weeks I thought I was losing this pregnancy, but instead found out I was carrying twins; and then their father left us. I was worried and a bit scared, but Dr Ginsberg said to me with confidence, "we" are going to have these babies, and you will be fine without him"!  7.5 lbs each at birth, twin girls were born who became college graduates and successful young women in the work force. I will be thankful for Dr Ginsberg for the remainder of my life.

I just found out that MY NORMAN is no longer with us.  My younger daughter Brittany just moved back to Chicago.  Brittany  will be 35 March 22. On March 17, 1989 my Norman tried to induce me as he was taking  the family  to Florida for spring break. Alas it didn’t work and so Dr. Allan Charles  delivered her March 22, 1989.  What’s funny is that Dr. Charles we supposed to deliver my first daughter, Kendall and was called away. 

This began my love affair with my Norman - not only was he the most comforting and  knowledgeable doctor I’ve had in my life, he was the ONLY person I fully trusted my life with.  He saved my life 15 years later when I had a false positive CA125 test.  

To say I loved him is an understatement.
Brittany will now be following in the footsteps of her mom; giving birth to her second child in 19 months, under the care of the dr I sent her to 15 years ago, Dr. Kleinberg.  

To know she’s in the same offices I ( and Oprah and miss Johnson ) spent so much time in, gives me a smile.  And I know my Norman will always be there.

I just learned today of Dr Ginsberg’s passing.  My deepest condolences… he safely delivered my son 34 years ago.  He was a wonderful doctor and a wonderful person… gentle, low key, and funny!

I am so sorry to learn of Dr Ginsberg's passing. He was an amazing doctor and a wonderful kind individual. He delivered both my boys of 9 plus pounds and was so reassuring and comforting. Denise, you and Norman were a great team and always made me laugh when I came in to the office. So very sorry to just learn of Dr. Ginsberg’s passing.  He was my doctor for many years and delivered both my children.  He was so kind and compassionate when I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and delivered my 2 lb., 3 oz.  My deepest condolences to his family.  Rest easy Dr. Ginsberg.

Dr. Ginsberg was my doctor for more than 35 years. I was one of the first of his patients to benefit from his fertility treatment and he was so excited when it worked.  I'll never forget how joyful he was when he gave me my test results.  He scheduled my delivery so he could bring my daughter into the world.  He was incredibly special to me and my family.  And he was a very, very proud father of his own daughters - always giving me an update on their accomplishments.  I missed him when he retired.  And I have great memories of his dedicated care over the years.  God bless you, Norman.

I was just talking about my favorite doctor and then went to Google Dr. Ginsberg.  My heart is broken.  He was a wonderful, wonderful man who will always hold a special place in my ❤️.  He delivered all three of my babies who are now 9, 12 and 14.  God bless. 

For some odd reason, I googled Dr. Ginsberg tonight only to find he has been called home. He delivered my 3 children and comforted me when I miscarried.  He was a great doctor, so caring.  I’m saddened to hear of his passing.  

Dr. Ginsberg - the best thing that ever happened to our family was when you were referred to us after being told the odds were that our beautiful daughter would have a chromosomal disorder.  You tested her - no chromosomal disorder - and from then on you endeavored to save our baby whose surroundings in utero were less than ideal due to the lack of amniotic fluid potentially caused by baby's nonfunctioning kidneys.  You utilized new treatment ideas that had very limited testing - and others benefitted from your treatment and published research.  She was born weighing 2 lbs 2 ozs but could breathe and kidneys were functioning normally!  She had a rough road in the ICU but graduated not only from there but ultimately from the University of Illinois with a Chemical Engineering degree.  The miracle you brought into this world is doing very well and is 24 years old.   Thank you for the unprecedented level of care and concern - you even visited her in the ICU.  So many others likely have similar stories.   During your time with us you unselfishly helped countless others.  All of us  thank you and we will miss you.  So pleased that your work and your teachings will continue to benefit many more families.

Eighteen years ago, 
Dr Ginsberg was the gentle, knowledgeable, and strong source to help our Maximilian into the world - only for a short period of time. But a few years later, he made sure our twins, Beatrix and Baxter made it safely to term. He was a wonderful human and a pioneer in his field.

I just this moment learned of Dr. Ginsberg’s passing. My heart is broken. He was my doctor for more than 3 decades.  He was my daughters doctor for 15 years too. Denise and Dr Ginsberg were the perfect team of care, comfort, compassion and non judgment!  You were the perfect team in every possible way. Norman, losing you as a friend and colleague leaves a gap which cannot be filled. As one of my senior partners in Chicago, we worked side by side in the hospital and in the office. What a blessing that I shared my hospital days with you & Sue. Your broad knowledge base and experience were great to have „just in case“ with difficult cases. Your mentorship was an unexpected and cherished gift over the years - talking about our field, going to meetings and writing papers together inspired and challenged me to be a better ob/gyn. I marveled at your energy and how you managed the academic work alongside your extremely busy practice load. And then, your humor and self-effacing nature to boot. No wonder your patients loved you. Over the years we became friends, you and Denise invited me and my family into your home and your hearts. A generous, kind and loving family. I will be ever grateful for your friendship and hope you rest in peace eternally. 

I am so sad to hear this news. Dr. Ginsberg delivered my son 30 years ago and I continued as his patient for several years.  I always knew I was in good hands! He was always good natured and truly cared about his patients! My heart goes out to his wife and children. God bless you all and may He provide you comfort🙏🏻

I am so deeply saddened by this unfortunate news. Dr Ginsberg delivered both of my children. He was the most attentive, kind and experienced doc…his great sense of humor and always “direct” to the point advice made me obey to him like my own Dad. My deepest condolences to Denise and the whole family. My heart goes out to all of you…I will always have a special place in my heart for Dr Ginsberg.  May he rest  peacefully…
